back to school!

Okay, it's been a while. What's up, e-fam?

Let's start with some basics. Summer semester wrapped up at the end of June, and since then I've been working, spending time with friends, and trying to get out more. But you know what? It's September now. I'm back to class, back to a routine, and the weather is starting to cool down—I think it's about time to stay in more.

I didn't get as much reading done over the summer as I might have liked. I didn't work on my Twine game. You can't do it all. September, October, November and onward—these months will surely bring rain and grey days and more reason to stay inside making zines, blogging, writing, and getting back to that inward-facing life I value so much.

It was a good summer, though. What I did: aced two summer classes, interviewed for and landed a position as a peer mentor, picked up a bunch of extra shifts at the library, went kayaking, had a picnic, went to games night, had movie nights, went to the beach, hung out with my family, went to the waterslides, watched the Tony Awards, wrote songs, had lunch with my grandma, worked on a magazine, and watched some TV. I did stuff.

And now it's September, and my work schedule is more regular, and I'm back in classes. On top of that, I'm also a peer mentor for my university's ePortfolio project. If you're interested in checking out my ePortfolio, here you go.

I just finished a little one-page folded zine about feelings. I put a little preview up on my Instagram story, but I'd like to find a place to centralize all of my IRL creative projects. Actually, I'm working on creating a Clubhouse section of the site to organize some of my creative work. Zines, art, lettering, that sort of thing. And maybe some other sections...film reviews, perhaps? You'll see it when you see it.

See you soon.
